Santa Catalina School’s Model U.N. Club participated in the 11th annual Monterey County high school conference on December 9 at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Serving on various committees and representing a range of countries, the students tackled two main topics: how to sustainably improve access for all people to basic necessities and how to deal with natural and human-caused events such as disasters and wars.
Jojo '26 received a certificate for Outstanding Representation for Switzerland, a recognition based on public speaking, collaboration, leadership, and overall influence on her committee. Her committee, which simulated the United Nations General Assembly, produced a resolution to strengthen inclusive representation and decision-making among all member nations of the U.N.
