Fueling Success: The Santa Catalina Fund

The Santa Catalina Fund our primary philanthropic initiative, is crucial for offsetting operational costs, supporting financial aid, and attracting top faculty. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of education; The Santa Catalina Fund bridges this gap, ensuring a rich and supportive student experience. Every year, we depend on the contributions of parents, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends to sustain and enhance the school’s programs and opportunities. Your tax-deductible donations have a direct and meaningful impact on every aspect of campus life.

Our Family of Funds

Your Gifts at Work

Your contributions to Santa Catalina translate into educational opportunities that inspire students to reach their full potential. From the science classroom to the art studio, the athletic field to the performance stage, your gifts provide enhancements to the programs and people that set Santa Catalina apart.

Professional Development for Faculty

Each academic year our faculty and staff are afforded myriad professional development opportunities that contribute to innovative teaching approaches. Faculty have attended workshops, conferences, and trainings devoted to reading instruction, music education, service learning, design thinking, data science, classroom culture, outdoor and experiential learning, and more.

Enhanced Curriculum

The foundation of a Santa Catalina education is our commitment to excellence, and the cornerstone is our exceptional academic curriculum. In the Lower and Middle School, programs such as Singapore Math and Words Their Way give students a strong academic foundation that ensures their success in high school and beyond. Through the development of leadership skills and community service activities, Compass builds core values and instills a focus on good character. The Upper School offers more than 95 classes, including intensive Advanced Topic courses in a number of disciplines. With such a breadth of offerings and an average class size of 12 students, students are allowed to discover their academic potential and foster their individual talents.

Ways to Give

Giving Levels

Every gift, at every level, makes a difference in the lives of our students and faculty. All donors to The Santa Catalina Fund are acknowledged in the Annual Report.

The 1950 Society

Donors who make gifts at the Patrons' Circle level and above are considered members of the 1950 Society, founded to recognize the school’s most loyal and generous supporters whose gifts provide the foundation of annual support to The Santa Catalina Fund each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). We honor 1950 Society members annually at a special, exclusive event in Monterey.
