Lower & Middle School Community

Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School first-graders spent their Halloween visiting residents of The Park Lane senior living facility.

As part of their Project of Passion, the students build relationships with Park Lane residents during several holiday visits throughout the year.

Dressed in costumes, they performed the “Monster Mash” dance, listened to the residents read Halloween stories, enjoyed treats together, and passed out cards and coloring pages. One resident said the card she received was her first Halloween card in 50 years!

The class accomplished its mission of spreading joy and spending time with the seniors in our community.

More Halloween fun

First grade’s visit was just one activity in a day full of fun, including costume contests, trick-or-treating, and the always popular Pumpkin Olympics. Check out photos from Halloween and Pumpkin Olympics.
