Think of Santa Catalina School the next time you fly.
Mementos from the winter production of Puffs are on display in Monterey Regional Airport as part of an exhibit called “Music and the Arts.” The items, including props created by students on the tech crew, can be found in a glass case on the airport’s mezzanine level.
Students in the technical theatre co-curricular made more than 200 props for Puffs, a spoof of a well-known wizarding franchise, to accentuate the show’s homespun aesthetic. The props on display include a stack of books about magic, a golden dragon egg, and a scroll that reads “Don’t be sad.” Also in the display are Dumbledore’s cloak, made by designer Ashley Tripp, and a photo of Andriana Low ’25 wearing the costume.
The exhibit was arranged by Diane Grindol of the Central Coast Art Association. It will be on display for a year.
